WITH THANKS

Penistone Arts Week is a community event run by a small group of volunteers. We work with the local shops, cafes, churches, schools and businesses to bring about this vibrant event for Penistone, for which we give thanks to all involved.

We’d like to give special thanks to the following for helping to make this annual event possible:

Father David at St John The Baptist Church in Penistone town centre for hosting so many free events.
Free to the public, but also free to us, giving us a much needed financial boost and allowing us to bring Penistone Arts Week back to our community annually.

We’d also like to thank our three local supermarkets, Tesco, Co-op & Spar for supporting our ‘En Plein Air Penistone Artist of the Year’ each year by providing our prizes.

We also received £1000 from Tesco ‘Stronger Starts’, a community support scheme in which we were voted for by Penistone people, coming second. Thank you to Tesco for supporting our community and to all who voted for us.

Another thank you goes to Stainborough Rotary Club which provides book tokens for our Book Trail winners.

This community event, run by the community, for the community, gets stronger each year but only with the support and generosity of our local shops, cafes, restaurants, businesses, schools, churches and volunteers.

We would like to thank every one of you who gets involved, supports an event, provides sponsorship, allows artists to display in your venue, tells a neighbour about an event or shares us on social media. Every little bit of support we receive means the people of Penistone can explore the arts in some way, maybe discover a new hobby, make new friends and bring a little sunshine into their lives every March.

If you’d like to be involved in 2026, get in touch by emailing penistoneartsweek@gmail.com.

Thank you Penistone!
