A local group of talented artists, Penistone Arts Collective (PAC) not only help Chrissie Yates and the committee to coordinate PAW but they also run fundraisers to enable it to continue each year.
October 2024 saw them joined by other local artists to produce their first Online Art Auction where 36 pieces of donated art were auctioned via their Facebook page, with starting prices of just £25, raising an amazing £1000 in total.
In 2023 they designed a 2024 calendar which was sold throughout Penistone stores, cafes and venues. Everyone who purchased the calendar was supporting the sustainability of this much loved event raising £1900. The artists took inspiration from the natural beauty and historical significance of Penistone to produce a unique collection of work.
So popular, in fact that the public and shops have asked PAC to produce another for 2026, so watch this space and be sure to follow our social media pages so you don’t miss out.
As a group of locally based artists their artistic endeavors grace Penistone year-round, leaving an indelible mark on our community.
Art from this talented group now adorns the walls of many local homes, brightening and bringing individuality to their homes. With the artists being open to commission, just ask.
Their creations find a captivating home in Hacketts, where a dedicated resident art gallery displayed amongst their beautiful wares serves as a vibrant showcase for the artwork. This gallery space not only offers a glimpse into the artists’ ongoing contributions but also transforms Hacketts into a living, breathing art haven.
Artists can also be seen in many venues throughout Penistone all year round – take a walk around and you’re bound to find them enhancing the local shops and cafes, particularly The Art House Cafe, All is Good and Generations Cafe Bar.
